4. Health & Safety
Horse riding is a risk sport. All activities are undertaken at the client's own risk.
- Approved riding hats meeting current safety standards (PAS 015, VG1, or equivalent) must be worn at all times when mounted
- Suitable footwear with a small heel must be worn
- Services may be refused if safety standards are not met
Additional Safety Equipment
The use of body protectors or air vests is strongly recommended but remains at the discretion of the rider or, in the case of minors, their parent or guardian.
5. Horse Welfare
The welfare of the horse is the highest priority at all times.
- Services may be refused or adjusted if a horse is deemed unfit, unsafe, or unsuitable
- Clients must disclose any known behavioural, medical, or training issues prior to services
Rider Weight Guidance
Rider suitability is assessed in line with current horse-to-rider weight ratio guidelines (BHS, NEWC, RoR) — typically around 15–20% of the horse's bodyweight including tack. Final decisions are made at our discretion to ensure the comfort, safety, and welfare of the horse.
6. Weather & Conditions
- Sessions may be postponed or rescheduled due to unsafe weather, ground conditions, or other factors beyond our control
- In such cases sessions will be rescheduled or credited accordingly
7. Liability
- Liability is not accepted for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the provision of services, except where caused by proven negligence
- Horse riding and related activities carry inherent risks — participation is at the client's own risk
- It is strongly recommended that all clients hold appropriate personal insurance cover for equestrian activities
8. Media & Content
- With client permission, photos and videos may be taken during sessions for promotional and social media use
- Clients will be informed of the intended use and may opt out at any time
9. Equipment & Facilities
- Clients are responsible for ensuring tack and equipment is safe, suitable, and fit for purpose
- Equipment deemed unfit will not be used during the provision of any services
10. Agreement
By booking and/or using any of the offered services, clients confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Business.
